    Her Fleetwood Mac bandmates have all participated in the new album, Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie, the 10-song album released by Atlantic Records on June 9.

    Sessions for the album took place at The Village Studios in Los Angeles, which is where the band recorded several of their classic albums, including Tusk. Buckingham and McVie were joined in the studio by fellow bandmates Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, who supplied much of the dynamic rhythmic engine.

    That leaves one Stevie Nicks as the sole member of the band who was not involved.

     

    Well, it turns out there is new music from Ms. Nicks, you just have to look for it. A new song, “Your Hand I Will Never Let It Go,” was released today. It’s from a new feature film which opened June 16, The Book of Henry, starring Naomi Watts, who plays a single mother of two boys.

    Stevie attends Book of Henry premiere @ LA Film Fest

    Looking radiant and remarkably youthful, Stevie attended Wednesday night’s film premiere of The Book of Henry at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Donning her trademark black attire and wearing a (rock) star necklace, Stevie posed for a sea of photographers on the red carpet with The Book of Henry cast members. The film opens to the general public on Friday, June 16.

    For Henry, Stevie recorded the lovely ballad “You Hand I Will Never Let It Go,” a song written by Guster singer-songwriter Ryan Miller. (See lyric video at the bottom of this page.)

    Following the red carpet event, Stevie watched the screening of The Book of Henry and celebrated with the film’s cast at the after party. She schmoozed with the guests, providing inspiration and wisdom for the film’s many young stars. Stevie has long embraced her role as a mentor to the younger generations. Her long list of famous protégés includes Adele, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Lorde, Lea Michele, Harry Styles, and the School of Rock band, among many others.
